Renewal & continuing education

Renew every 2 years. 20 continuing education hours required per cycle.

Biennial renewal period. Licenses expire January 31 of even-numbered years. Standard continuing education is 20 hours (8 hours core DCE and 12 hours elective ECE). New licensees must also complete 30 hours of post-licensing education within their first year of licensure.

Reciprocity

Endorsement/reciprocity from another state is available.

Endorsement is available for individuals holding an active real estate license in another state. Requirements include passing the Alaska state portion of the salesperson exam, taking a 6-hour Alaska Law Course, and submitting a license verification.
