Renewal & continuing education

Salesperson licenses run on even-numbered-year cycles (e.g. 2026-2028), expiring September 30 of the even year. At least 3 of the 12 CE hours must be an MREC-designated CORE course (Fair Housing for the 2026-2028 renewal period).

Reciprocity

Endorsement/reciprocity from another state is available.

Missouri offers an endorsement pathway (not a formal reciprocity agreement): an applicant who currently holds an active real estate license in another jurisdiction may pass only the STATE portion of the Missouri salesperson exam and complete the 24-hour MREP course, submitting a current license history certification from the other jurisdiction issued within 3 months.
