Meet the prerequisites

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, a high school graduate or equivalent, and submit a recent criminal history record check (CHRC) from PATCH or the state police agency of any state lived in during the past 5 years. Requires 75 hours (5 credits) of basic real estate courses (30 hours of Real Estate Fundamentals and 45 hours of Real Estate Practice) from an approved real estate education provider. Candidates with a Juris Doctor degree, a bachelor's degree in real estate, or a bachelor's degree with coursework equivalent to a major in real estate are exempt from this requirement. [1]

Real Estate Salesperson Examination
Pass the Real Estate Salesperson Examination (fee: $49). Computer-based (in-person or online) The exam consists of a national portion and a state portion. The examination fee is $49.00 when taking both portions on the same day, or $49.00 per attempt/portion if taken separately. [1]
